This author based out of No cal came to my son's school a month or so ago to talk about his chapter books called "Melvin Beederman" It's about a child super hero that solves crimes in LA. My son really liked it so he ordered a few. Well, we started a new one last night called "The grateful Fred". Supposedly this is Melvin's favorite band which are described as having a huge following that follow them around from place to place. Supposedly they are bigger than U2. Anxious to see where it goes next.

Sounds pretty cool....Keep us updated. We'll need daily updates of what our favorite super hero is up to. LOL

What age group are these geared to?? Might have to look for them for my kids!!

They are chapter books so as early as kindergarten and up. We found out last night that Joe the bad guy used to be in the Grateful Fred but was tossed because he could not carry a tune. Made me laugh because if that were the case Bob, Jerry and Phil would have been gone in later years
